Repair Material Prices for Fiberglass Containments

Swimming Pools - Hot Tubs - Baptistery - Sliding Boards - Fiberglass Pool Steps

These products are used in all types of swimming pools and hot tubs, but especially fiberglass. To refinish a fiberglass pool or hot tub, only gelcoat is normally required. This is assuming the actual fiberglass in not damaged. The repair putty will fix any small tears or cuts in the fiberglass. The gelcoat is also used to give a facelift to pools previously lined with fiberglass.

Major repairs caused by leaving the pool empty, natural disasters, or abuse, will require more effort and materials. However, almost all fiberglass pools can be repaired, regardless of condition.

Every purchaser will receive unlimited telephone consultation with the author of Pool Resurfacing Made Easy (written for owners of gunite/concrete swimming pools. How to apply gelcoat is an article written by the same author.

Call for questions, or to determine how much product will be required, and to place orders. We are available daily and from 10AM until 3PM EST on Saturday and Sunday.

Fiberglass containments should not be refinished until all the original gelcoat (the color) is removed. We do not recommend purchasing our materials unless you plan to remove all the original gelcoat, and any other foreign substance that may be on top of the gelcoat.

Gelcoat is a non-porous material and there is no product available in America that will laminate to gelcoat and last more than a year or two!

Most customers choose white at no additional charge. Light and medium blue are also popular and we have a large color selection.

The chemicals listed above have a guaranteed shelf life of six (6) months after delivery to purchaser. For this reason we will not accept the return of any chemical products.

Before emptying your swimming pool, be sure to read how to empty a swimming pool. Use only Fibre-Shelkote  gelcoat and resin to repair and refinish your fiberglass swimming pool. Gelcoat is often referred to as "fiberglass pool paint", but it is a special protective non-porous coating required to protect the fiberglass and resin.

Gelcoat is not for use on any surface other than fiberglass and resin. Fibre-Shelkote is only for use on swimming pools, hot tubs, baptistry, spa's, Jacuzzi's, slides, and fiberglass pool steps.
